New Leadership for Peterborough Agricultural Society
For Immediate Release January 16, 2025
Peterborough, ON – The Peterborough Agricultural Society’s Annual General Meeting on
January 15, 2025, brought renewed hope and a fresh vision for the future. Thanks to the
dedication of several community members who stepped forward, the 180-year-old organization
will continue to serve Peterborough and its agricultural community.
A newly elected Board of Directors is now tasked with revitalizing the Society and charting a
sustainable path forward. The new Board includes 12 new board members and 3 associate board
members.
The Society would like to extend its deepest gratitude to the outgoing Board members for their
service and unwavering commitment during challenging times. Their leadership has preserved the
foundation upon which the Society will now build a brighter future.
“We’re excited to take on this important responsibility and look forward to working with
the community to continue the Society’s legacy,” said Louise Dobbin, general manager. “Our
focus will be on strengthening agricultural education, fostering partnerships, and
reimagining the future of the Peterborough Agricultural Society.”
The new Board invites the community to get involved as they develop plans for the year ahead.
Together, they aim to honor the organization’s rich history while embracing new possibilities.
